Description: Since its origins, medicine has always been linked to philosophy, which has allowed for a mutual enrichment of both disciplines. Critical thinking and reflection on the values that guide the action of the doctor have been some of the contributions of philosophy to the practice of medicine and its theoretical dimension. This symposium will feature two papers on philosophy and culture in the history of medicine and two other talks on three great doctors who stood out for their application of philosophy to improve the understanding of health and disease.

Target audience: Students, especially from the Faculty of Medicine, and all teachers at CEU San Pablo University.

Registration: Registration is free, but attendance must be communicated by filling in a form.
