Objectives
The creation of the CEU Angel Ayala Institute of Humanities was agreed upon by the Board of Trustees of Fundación Universitaria San Pablo CEU on April 10, 1999. Its initial Statutes, dated March 18, 2000, indicate that its first and central purpose is the propagation of Christian humanism in the works of FUSP-CEU in full fidelity to the magisterium of the Church. It also aims to be key in the elaboration and dissemination of Catholic humanistic thought. The Catholic Association of Propagandists, always at the service of the criteria of the Church, has understood that for the fulfillment of such purposes in its educational works, the appropriate instrument was the Angel Ayala CEU Institute of Humanities.
For the fulfillment of this purpose, the Institute of Humanities is entrusted with the organization of the teaching of subjects that enrich from the human and cultural point of view to the students of the three CEU universities: San Pablo in Madrid, Cardenal Herrera in Valencia, and Abat Oliba in Barcelona.

*On the other hand, the Board of Trustees of Fundación Universitaria San Pablo CEU, during its sessions held in July 2015, entrusted the CEU Ángel Ayala Institute of Humanities with the organization of the credits corresponding to Basic Ethics in the subjects of Ethics and Deontology to be taught in general, in all CEU degree programs.
