Objective

Care is an essential activity of the human being; throughout our lives we are cared for, we learn to care for ourselves and we are caregivers of others. Care implies a technique and can be exercised professionally or not. But, in addition to technique, care implies an anthropology, an ethics, an aesthetics, a spirituality. We live in a time in which care has been brought to the forefront and has become a widely debated topic. We are in a position to think about care in order to evaluate the importance of a humanized care at the height of the 21st century in which the advances in science and technology are presented as a risk and as a possibility of growth.
For this reason, from the Institute of Humanities CEU Angel Ayala and the School of Medicine, we offer this Symposium designed for all those involved in the activity of care.
